Answr thereto is likewise inclosed As to this their Mats Gov ernmt of Maryland being indebted to their Mats Province of New York & touching the Bills of Exchange the late Governr Copley pass'd and remitted to your Governr Wee find Nothing Entred in the Journall of the Councill relateing to that Affaire, And therefore looke upon it as Governr Copleys Private Act; But whensoever their Royall Mats are pleased to Cornand our Assistance in defence of their Province of New York against the ifrench or others their Mats Enemies, All ready and due Obedience shall be given by. Coll Charles Hutchins Order abt Ordered that the Sheriffe of each Respective Marriage Licenses the County make inquiry wt persons are or have been profits to be pd to Mr Empower'd to Grant Marriage Lycenses within this Cheseidyn Province Since the arrivall of his Exncy Francis &ca Nicholson Esqr And that they give directions to such persons Empowered for to Answer and pay the profits thereof unto Mr Kenelm Cheseldyn or order for the use of Doctor Pains Brothers Child, now under his tuition and care. Order abt Ordered that the broken Armes which lye lodged Armes tube at Mr Harpers in Petuxant River be by George sent for Plater Esqr taken care off & Shipt for England to England &Ca Mr Perry & Lane, and that such as are worth fiting up be fitted & Sent again and the rest disposed off to the best advantage for the use of the Countrey.
