That you shall do equall Right to all manner of people both Lib. H. D. Rich and poore within this Province according to Equity & good conscience. You shall not know or suffer the hurt of the King or that the Rights of the Crown within this Province be decreased by any meanes as aid farr as you may prevent the same. And if you can not prevent it you shall make it clearly and Expressly known to their Mats Governt of this Province for the time being with your true advice and councill therein So help you God &Ca
John Freeman had also administred unto him the oathes Whitehall appointed by Act of Parliamt &ca & Subscribed to the Test & likewise tooke the Oath of Regr in Chancery.
The Oath follows The oath of You shall swear that you shall justly and truly Registr in Chancery after your best skill & Judgmt Execute the Office of Regr of their Mats Court of Chancery to wch you are admitted. All Orders Decrees & other matters in your Office to be Entered you shall Record & true Coppyes thereof when required you shall deliver; Subpenas & other process of the Court you shall truly & indifferently make & bring to be Sealed with the Great Seale of the Province, Duly justly & Whitehall equally you shall Examine their Causes that shall be Com mitted unto you without any favour or respect of any person or persons to be had, otherwise then of Right shall appertain concerning the Same. And you shall be as well to further their Mats designes as the same Causes from time to time as need shall require. And you shall not publish or shew directly nor indirectly the same deposition to any person afore publicacon in the Court without warrant from the said Court. And finally you shall well & faithfully behave your selfe in the Office of Register of this Court while you shall Continue in the same and untill you shall be Lawfully discharged there from So help You God &ca
Order abt the Con- Upon Representation Ordered that Mr Nicholas p. demnacon Milbourn and Mr William Sharpe (upon sight hereof) procure Transcript of the Proceedings had & taken Shipp tran- upon the Tryall & condemanation of Charles Partis script to be Ship, in Order to transmitt the same for England to
England Capt Francis Partis his Brother, whereby he may know the true Cause of his condemnation.
