severall particulars before mentioned, for their Allowance, Lib. H. D. who considered upon the same the sume of 2000 lb of Tobacco in full of all, So absolutly Cutt of your Petr from the usuall Allowance made to the Clerke of this Board as likewise his itinerant charges aforementioned, An Accot whereof lay then before the house. That your Petr does conceive it altogether in vain to make any further Adress to the house of Burgesses, therefore humbly applyes himselfe to your and Honrs for Reliefe in the premises humbly Signifying a certain Income now lying in the Guift of your Exncy & Councill, Namely, the Amerciaments of the Provinciall Court, by an Act of Assem bly of this Province setled to be disposed off as the Governr & Councill shall think fit, whereby yoT Petr hopes his present circumstances (through your Exncies & honrs favour) may in some Measure at present be considered; a List of which said Amerciamts by your Petr found out and discovered to be due he hath here now ready to present. Your Petr further Represents some Considerable Charge he hath been at in purchaseing paper and Ink &ca toward the Managmt of the Business of this Office and a Large paper Booke for Entering the proceedings of the Councill in, humbly also craveing Allowance for the same. And your Petr as in duty Bound Shall Ever Pray.
The afd Peticon being considered it is Ordered as follows Vizt By his Exncy the Governr and Councill p. March 1694/5 Ordered that all the Amerciamts belonging to the Provin ciall Cort and accruing from the Seaventh day of July 1691: untill ffebry Cort last past be by the severall Sherriffes of the Province accounted for and paid Unto Henry Denton Clerke of their Mats honble Councill and not to their Mats Receiver This Board having bestowed the same upon the said Denton for Several Services by him performed and Expences dis bursed in the Execution of his Office.
