               his Exncy Governr Nicholson by Mr Robert Nearn on be

               halfe of Mr Edward Willy of Barbadoes is as follows

            List of Imprs A Letter from Mr Nearn to his Exncy the

            papers re

            lating to Governr Dated the 23th of Janry 1694. W Edward

            Willys Willys Pet to the Governr of Barbado's abt two

            Negros and

            Nearns Re- Negroe Men transported from Barbados by Capt

            ceipt &ca Thomas Hill the said Negro's belonging to one

      

            Capt William Porter.

     

              The Opinion of Mr Plater & Mr Dent Relating to the

            aforementioned Negro's.

              Mr Nearns Pet. to his Exncy & Councill abt the afd Negro's

            in behalfe of the aforesaid Willy.

              A further Report of Mr Dent & Mr Plater Concerning the

            afd Negro's wth an Order of Councill Annexed.

              Thomas Joneses Answer to the Councill abt buying the said

            Negro's.

     

     

                      May the 21th 1695.

            for severall That the last Genll Assembly held at the City of

            Allowances as Clk of the Snt Maries your Petr humbly set forth to yor Exncy

     

            honble e and Honrs how that the house of Burgesses were

            Councill & pleased to Allow your Petr (as Clerk of the Coun

            Ordr there- .                .    —

            on &cacill) for his years Sallary the Sume of Ten thousand

            pounds of tobacco being 2000 lb less then former

            Clerks in that Station Usually have had.

     

              That during that Space of time he had been at Consider

            able charges in Attending upon Councills called to places

            remote from the City of Snt Maries without any Satisfaction

            for the same & lastly that the house had Omitted to make any

            allowance to yr Petr for his Attendance & paines bestowed as

            Clerke of this Honble Board in Assembly then sitting a thing

            altogether Unpresidcntiall.

              That your Exncy and this Honble Board were (upon the afd

            Representacon) pleased to recommend Unto the house the
