            lateing to name) wth a vote of the Burgesses of Maryland and

            Protested Bills result of the Councill in Assembly there was directed

     

            Exca &Ca & Presented to his Exncy the Governr of this Prov

            ince defeating our hopes of such Assistance his Mats Royall

            Letter commanded expressing somewhat about Indians &ca

     Whitehall  and the vast Sumes of Money and Tobacco in arreares & now

            to be paid &ca

              Among these Wee signify to yr Exncy that the Governmt of

            Maryland is indebted to this the surne of 453 lb sterl: being

            Money charge and Damages due on protested Bills of

            Exchange from Maryland as by the inclosed coppy of the

            Protest and Accot appears.

              This his Exncy in Councill was pleased to Order Us to lay

            before your that the same may be speedily discharged it

            being what Wee Expect from Yr Exncies candor and Justice

                           Wee are yor Exncies humble Servants
