       bib. C. B.     all ships tradeing on the Easterne shore to Repaire to such

             place as the Collector or Collectors there shall Order & appoint

             for their most convenient Cleareing & sayleing as directed,

             And vpon their Cleareing that the severall Collectors take

             security of the said Masters for their sayleing to their Convoys

             at Point Comfort, of which the Collectors are to give present

             Notice to all Masters & Comanders of ships, and they and all

             others concerned to con forme therevnto accordingly.

               Then was read the Returne of those Gentlemen Yesterday

             Ordered to view the Condition the Records lay in at the State

             house, whoe in obedience therevnto did Returne as follows,

             Vizt

      

           p.    17 Returne Upon the pervseall of the Records of the Provinciall

              about the

              Records Office from the Arrivall of the late Governor Copley,

              &Ca Wee finde all the Proceedings of the said Office from

              that time Untill May Court last fairly Entered, which said

              Courts Proceedings, the Minutes thereof were taken by Mr

              LLewellen, vpon Mr Taylards being sick, and the said W Tay

              lard has now promised & Engaged to compleat all the business

              of his time left vndone, within two Months after the next

              Court, ready to be delivered up to his Honr the Secretary.

               2. Wee finde the Booke of Conveyances in the said Office

             fully perfected.

               3. Wee finde noe Chancery Proceedings Entered since

             the yeare 1682, except one Decree inter Vansweringhen &

             Taylor, and as to any Minutes thereto belonging, Mr Taylard

              can give noe Account; therefore is Referred to be inquired

              after by the former Clerks of the Office: Vizt Mr Grunwin &

              Mr Boothby.

               4: Wee finde all Criminall business in Mr Boothby's time

             Entered vp, but all the Judgemts of his time want still to be

             Entered.
