some Ordr from this Board for their pay at the Laying the Lib. C. B. first publick Leavy of the Province, and Ordered therevpon, by 15 advice in Councill, that the same be Recommended to the next Generall Assembly for the paying the said Soldiers off, at the first publick Assessmt made.
Ordr about It is the Opinion of this board & Ordered that Councill paprs &ca Mr John LLewellin attend here at the Councill Chain ber with all Papers and Orders of Councill passed since the Arrivall of Governr Copley, and that the same remaine with the present Clerk till further Ordr.
Ordr for the Sr Thomas Laurence makeing Complaint to this Records of the Provll & Board that he has not as yet received into his Charge
Prerogative the Records belonging to his Office of the Provinciall office to be inspected. Court, by reason of the severall imperfections in the same contained, and that he is now ready to give security for the due executeing of the Trust & Charge by their Majties here reposed in him according to the late Ordr of their said Majties but first is desirous & willing that his said Office be Viewed and inspected to see in what Condition the Records therevnto belonging doe at present lye; it was therevpon Ordered, by advice in Councill, that Capt John Addison & Thomas Tench Esq imediately Repaire to the said Office, together along with Mr Kenelm Cheseldyne, Mr Attorney Genll Mr Cleybourn Lomax and the Clerk of this board, where they are to View & inspect the Records thereof, as likewise the Chancery & Prerogative proceedings, and what imperfections are found therein, they are to make Returne thereof to this board to Morrow Morning; the Provin ciall Office Records to be searcht from the Date of the Secre taries Comission, and the Prerogative Office Records to be searcht from the Date of Coll Blackistons Cornission.
Ordr about In obedience to their Majties Commands that (dur ships sayleing ing the War or eminent danger,) noe ships shall &ca Sayie but in ffleets or vnder Convoys, and their p. 16 Majties Convoys sent with the late ffieet now lyeing at point Comfort neare the Capes being Ordered to Returne by the 7th of November, of which Capt Townesend the Comandors haveing at his Arrivall given Notice; Ordered that noe ships be Cleared but to sayle with the said Convoys, and none to be otherwise cleared either afore or any after for England without further Orders, and that all ships tradeing vp the Bay repaire to the Mouth of Petuxent River, and all ships tradeing vp Potomack repaire to the Mouth of Potomack River or such other place or places as the Collectors shall direct, and
