Officer for Board did Administer the Oaths Appointed by Act Oxford of Parliamt instead of the Oaths of Allegiance & Towne Supremacy as a!soe the Oath of Trade and Naviga tion unto Mr Thomas Smithson Navall Officer appointed for Oxford Towne who likewise Subscribed to the Test Hen: Denton C of Conch!.
Memorandum that whereas Samue!l Dryer of An-Arundell p. 79 County and Susanah his wife did on the 6th day of Octobr last humbly Sett forth to this Board that she the Susanah was by a certaine Order of Councill bearing date the 6th of May Anno: 1693 Rendered Uncapable of haveing her Oath taken to be good evidence in any Matter or thing wthin this province and therefore prayed Some consideracOn might be had relate ing thereto whereby the S'd Order might be set Asside and she restored as formerly wch was Granted her, and Order Accordingly Indorsed Upon the backe of her Petition; but the sd Petn by Accident being since lost, It was Ordered as fol lows Vizt By his Excency the Governor & Councill &ca Octob: the 6th 1694
Ordr about Ordered that An Order of his Excency and Coun Dryers Oath cii! bearing Date the sixth day of May Anno 1693 relating to the invalidating the Oath of one Susanah Dryer Wife to Samll Dryer of An-Arundell County be totally and for ever set Asside disanulled and made Voyd so that by means of any thing in the Sd Order contained she be nowise rendered incapable of haveing her Oath taken in any Court or before any Justice wthin this province Signed p Order Hen: Denton C of Conci!
