Goverrs His Excency does likewise Recomend to the Gen Orders to the Councill tlemen of the Councill in Generall that they take all in Case of possible care (in case of invassion of fforaigne Indians Insurrection - . . h or insurrection by Indians or others wch God forbid) for Raiseing forces to opose the same and send imediate notice thereof to his
His Excency demands of the Board whether they thinke it will be Necessary to Appoint Rangers before the time limited by the Act to wch is Answered that they doe not see at present any Occassion for so doeing—His Excency is pleased to say that he will take a View of the ffrontiers himself (God Willing) at the time prescribed for the Rangers goeing forth. His Excency does further demand of the Gentlemen of the Councill to consider if they have any thing else to propose or Offer either for the Service of their Majties or the Countrey to wch they make Answer that at present they know nothing further to propose.

October the 18th 1694 Comission Issued con- Mr Cheseldyn appearing at the Board humbly stitututing Mr desires his Excency (Seeing he is favourably continued Cheseldyn in the Office of Comissary) that Comision may Issue Comissary Under the Broad Seale for the Same.
Ordered that a Comission Issue Accordingly to continue dureing pleasure Whereupon was prepared a Comission pur suant thereto wch being read was Sign'd by his Excency and passed the Broad Seale of the Province.
October the 18th 1694 Came before the honrble Sr Thomas Laurence Barront and Colonel Nicholas Greenberry, two of their Mats Justices of the prov” Court, Charles Carroll and John Eavans Genl. who did, in the presence of the Generall Assembly Undertake body for
p. 20 Body that Wm Burley & George Mason (prisonrs under Sentence of Death for the Murther of Mr John Payne) Shall appeare and be forth coming to Stand and abide their Sacred Mats determination whensoever they shall be thereunto Required by his Exncy the Governor, with which they both declared themselves Contented.
