who had Administred unto them the Oaths Appointed by Act Lib. H. D. of Parliamt instead of the Oaths of Allegiance and supremacy as alsoe the Oath of Trade & Navigatn and Subscribed to the Test. And forasmuch as Mr Thomas Smithson the other Navall Officer Appointed is sicke soe tht he cannot Attend to take the S'd Oathes it is Ordered therfore that the Coll Pierce bi d & Capt Hull Hono e Sr Thomas Laurance and Edw Randolph Na- Esqr Administer the Same unto the s'd Smithson vail Officers fforme of a Navall Officers Cornission then pro
duced at the Board and Read and Approved off it was Whitehall Ordered that the s'd persons be Comissionated accordingly.
Order Abt Upon Representation of Capt John Cood that the Collection of Constable of St Clements hundred in St Maries
Taxabls not County has not made A Just returne of the List of Inlisted Taxables of the same Vizt in Returning fewer than
in the s'd Hundred is contained Ordered thereupon by Advice in Councill that the Severall & Respective Sheriffs of this Province take care to make diligent inquiry and Examine into the List of Taxeables by the severall and Respective Con stables Returned and where they doe find any such defect as Aforementioned that they leavey the same quantity of publick Tobo from every Tyathable person soe neglected to be Returned in as large and ample manner as if they had been Actualy Returned and the s'd Tobo Soe over and above col lected to secure and pay unto his Excency or Order. Capt Ilurles The Petition of Capt Jno Hurle read, therein Petn for humbly praying Allowance to be made him for the abtTryail Sume of 7 lb 2s 05 ster: being the ffiftht part as he p. 78 ship prize Alledges due for the Expence and charges he has Whitehall - been at about the Tryall & Condemnation of the prize Ship and Appointing the goods thereof. To wch this Boad does Say that they can at present doe nothing therein Untill their Majties pleasure be knowne or advice Reced from the Rt Honoble the Lords of the Admiralty Coll Robo- Ordered that the Honoble Collonell George Robo tham be constituted Judge of the Court of Admiralty
Appointed for the Eastern Shore and Colloneil Nicholas Green Judges of the Admralty bery for the Western Shore and that Henry Denton
& Thomas Collyer be continued in their Comissions of Register & Marshall of the s'd Court on the Western Shore.
