   ing for Armes & powder and two Bundles of Guns for Accot of Collo

   powder nell Lionell Copley Governor of Maryland Shiped

  

   by Miles fforster Merchant in New Yorke in and upon the

   Sloope called the Johannis, John Trevet Master whereby was Whitehall

   Signified that he had Reced the Sume of 21 pounds for the

   ffreight thereof.

     Ordered that inquirey be made Whether the Custome

   Charged by Mr fforster to Governor Copleys Accot for the

   same should not be Refunded being the Kings Stores.

  

   Order Abt Ordered likewise that care be taken to send for

        bY Eight Barrels of fine powder belonging to this prov

  

   Mr fforster ince remaining still in the S'd Mr fforsters hands

   abt the sd

   Guns &

   powder

                  Octobr the 12th 1694

     Councill Again Sate and was present his Execncy in Councill

   Mr Tenchs Upon motion made by the Honoble Thomas Tench

      Esqr relateing to a Shipe of his called the Ann

   of the Sh seized this last Suffier by Edwd Randolph Esqr Sun

   theron veyor Generall of their Majties Customs &ca humbly

          dessireing that the Same might be either discharged

   from the s'd Siezure or brought to legall tryall It was there

   vpon Agreed that the sd ship be brought to Tryall the first

   day of the next Provinciall Court.

     Ordered that the s'd Ship be then brought to a Tryall

   Accordingly

  

                  Octobr the 13th 1694

   Mr Wm Tay. Came Mr William Taylard and made Oath before

   lards Oath .   .

   Abt delivery his Excency in Councill that he has delivered up all

   of publick publick papers and Writtings of any publick import

   pap rs wherein he has been concerned into the Secretaries

  

   Office and Unto persons Empowred to receive the Same And

   that there does not Remaine wth him or any other person by

   him Intrusted any such papers or Writeings according to the

   best of his Rememberance and knowledge.

  

   Mr       Whereas July the 30th last past His Excency in

   fence upon Councill did declare it to be their Majties pleasure

   Sevrll depo- that Mr Randolph Surveyor Genll of their Majties

   sitions and

   papers pro- Customs should be Admted one of the Councill of

   duced . this province Unles they had any thing to Offer

   Against &ca him to the Contrary. And that then were produced

  

          by two of the Councill 3 papers Vizt one Under
