             the 17th day of October in the Sixth Yeare of the Reign of

             our Soveraigne Lord and Lady King Willm & Queen Mary

             Coll Beale It being Represented in Councill that Collonell

             Empowered

             to raise Men Ninian Beale has aliwayes been a person very ready

             upon cases & Serviceable upon Comotions or insurrections

             of Insurrection of made by Indians and that he is Seated convenient at

             Indians the head of Petuxant River to give notice and raise

             Men upon all such incident and Emergent Occasions—And

             forasmuch as his Majties by his Royall Instruction to his

             Execncy has Comanded that fiting Officers should be Appointed

             at the heads of Rivers to the S'd End & purpose Ordered

             thereupon that the S'd Collonell Beale have a particular

             Comission for his Excency to raise and Comand what Men he

             thinkes fit in all the nighbourhood in those parts upon all

             Occasions of such Cornotions & insurrection so soone as the

             same shall come to his knowledge
