    whether the S'd Articles be the paper Sign'd by them and Lib. H. D

    Whether they think fit the same should be Recorded According w.

    to Mr Josephs prayer; who for Answer return the Same is the

    paper they Sign'd, and that they are not Agt the Recording of

    it but wth all Signified that Capt Cood had by him their demand

    before the Articles Reccd and Afterward their Acceptance of

    the S'd Articles wch they pray may be Recorded together wth

    them Capt Cood promising to produce the same to this Board

    the Begining of Next Weeke

      Capt Cood Appears at the Board and was again read unto

    him Mr Josephs Letter & Articles about the Surrender of

    Matapany Upon wch the S'd Capt Cood likewise prduced the

    first Sumons Sent into the S'd Garison together wth the Sur

    render made Ordered tht all the papers be entered in the

    Journall of this Board, wch are as follows Vizt

   

    May it please Yor Excency

    And this Honoble Board

   

    Mr Josephs The inclosed Articles Have I Sacredly hitherto as

    Letter about

    Articles at well prserved as kept, They are the very Originall

    Mattapany Sign'd by the Generall, Chief Officers, Comanders,

   

    or Grand Councill of that time.

      Seaven of the Nine Still live all or most now at St Maries with

    the Clerk tht Writt'em; and in perpetuam Rei Memoriam Pray,

    they may be Enter'd and Recorded in such proper Bookes and

    Offices as yor Excency and this Honoble Board shall thinke fitt,

    wth Ord'r that in all and every part the same Inviolably be for

    ever kept, Observed, And performed to all persons whom it Whitehall

    doth or may Concerne, tht they, wth me, may aliwayes pray
