   Aske the Kings pardon Whereupon his Excency does say that Lib. H. D.

   he may have leave to goe As soon as he pleases and that their

   Majties Service in the interim thereby will not Suffer here.

         Councill Again Sat and were prsent as before.

   Coll Ro- Ordered that the Honoble Coll Georg Robotham

   botham to

   inquire into inquire what Orders Mr Clayland & Mr Leech have

   Mr Clayland for preaching & performing a Ministeriall function

   &Mr Leechs                .        .

   preaching in Taihot County and particularly to inquire into

   Orders, the Marriage of one Stephens whereof he is to

  

   make return to this Board wth all convenient Speed.

  

   Coll Green- Ordered that Mr Davis of An-Arundell County W.

   berry Do for Mr Davis produce his Orders for preaching &ca Unto the

  

         Honoble Coll Nicho Greenbery and Thos Tench Esqr

   or either of them upon Refu sail whereof they are to Accquaint p. 62

   him he cannot be permited to exercise that Sacred ifunction

  

   D° ord'r to Collr Jowles for Mr Bartlet.

  

     The Petition of Thos Tench read as follows Vizt

     To his Exce ncy ffrancs Nicholson Esqr Goverr of Maryland

   and Councill in Assembley &

   The  Humble Pet” of Thos Tench Admr of all the goods Chat-

      tells & Credts of Lionell Copley Esqr late Governour of

      Maryland &ca

  

   Tho:Tench Humbly Sheweth

   Pet” in rela-     .

   tion to That Yor Petr being Admr as Afsd and being dessir

   Goverr Cop- ous and Willing to Admr rightfully and duely on the

   leys Estate same to the best Advantage and Bennifit of the

  

   Credrs and Children of the sd Copley and finding some diffi

   culties and as Yor Petr conceives hardships imposed or Urged

   upon him in regard to the S'd Estate humbly prayes Yor

   Advice in the pticulars following

     1st: It is urged upon Yor petr that Sometime before the S'd

   Copleys Death he made A Verball Order that Some of his

   Servts wch he prticularly Nam'd Should have all his wearing

   Apparell distributed Among them wch after his Death was

   required of Yor petr and although Yor petr did in honor to the

   S'd Copleys Order deliver the same to the S'd prson yet tooke w.

   Obligacon of them tht if they should be Adjudged Assetts in

   Yor petrs hands they should Answer the Value thereof whether

   (consideracon being had to the Honor of the post the s'd

   Copley then had) the said Wearing Apparell shall be deemed

   Assetts to charge Yor Petr is what he humbly prayes Advice
