   Parker against whom the said Moor had commenced an Lib. H. D.

   Action in the Provinciall Court but for above these ffive years

   had been delayed for want of the said Evidence appearing

   being distempered in Body and Vnable to Travell.

  

     The Prayer of the Petitioner is granted and Ordered that

   the same be performed according to Law.

  

   Richd Hills The Petition of Richard Hill Master of the ship

   Pet & An

  swer, &ca  Hope of Maryland seting forth that he was bound

          with his said Vessell on a Voyage directly to Guinia

   and therefore prayed the Order of this Board for his speedy

   Clearing, without which the Collector had Refused to dismiss

   him.

  

     The said Petition was Rejected, for reason of a certain

   Instruction from their Maties to his relating to the prem

   isses, which runes in these following Words, V1Zt

  

   Ships not to And you are to take care that there be no Trading

   T rade into                   .

   Africa with- from Maryland to any place in Africa within the

   out leave of Charter of the Royall African Company; And you

   African are not to suffer any ships to be sent thither without

   Company their leave and Authority.

  

     Produced and Read at the Board Letter from Mr Blathwayt

   to the Honoble Sr Thomas Laurence of the 21th of Aprill last

   and another of the 19th of the said month vnto George Plater

   Esq' Ordered that the same be Entered in the Journall of

   this Board. The sd Letters follow in these Words, Vizt

   Mr Blath-                Whitehall 21th Aprill, 94.

   to Sr Tho:

   Laurence In the first place I must tell you that I am very

   glad you are out of trouble which the Governour & your

   sickness brought upon you; then I may congratulate with you p. 40

   of such a new Governour as you will be pleased with, and

   therefore I do not say any thing to you in Answer to the sev

   eral questions concerning your Office, which Coll Nicholson

   will Regulate in Every point to your satisfaction. I am

   attending his Maty the next weeke to iflanders so that you will

   the more easily excuse me for not Enlarging at present, but

   assure yourself that I am,
