p. the Comissionrs & the Kings Receiver Gen” formerly appointed to divide the same; And Whereas there appears no person vpon the place Comissionated for keeping their Mats prize- Office here And forasmuch as there appears to be a great quantity of sugars & Cocoe Nuts in the said Vessell, and there being but few buyers in this Province, besides living stragling so that it will totally glut the Market to make present Sale of the said Goods, nor can the Kings ffifth part be taken out of the produce till the whole be sold; it is thercfore the Opinion of this Board that for the Reasons aforesd it will be to the service of their Mats as likewise more benefit to the Captors (the Master pressing to be gone, to Sayle with the Convoy the 3th of Septembr next) that after a division made of the Goods as abovesd that the Kings ffifth part be Reserved in specie and the other ifour parts be delivered to the Captor or Captors to be disposed off as they shall think fit.—Ordered therevpon as it is hereby Ordered that the Comissionrs formerly appointed & George Plater Esqr the Kings Attorney & Receiver Genll Divide & Apportion the Goods in the said Prize ship taken (if the same shall be legally condemned) into five equall shares or parts, to be divided by Lot, ifour parts whereof they are to deliver into the hands of the Captor or Captors to be disposed off as they shall think fit and the Remaining ffifth part to be delivered into the hands of their Mats Receiver Genll who is to take care to have a Sloope ready at the place vpon the Divi sion made as aforesd in Order to Convey the same downe to the house of Mrs Anne Hopewell at the Mouth of Petuxant River there to be safely secured & lodged for their Mats Use vntill the sixth day of Octobr next, which said day is appointed to Expose the said Goods Unto publick Sale; to be divided put into Lots and sold by Inch of Candle by George Plater Esqr their Mats Receiver Genll Mr Robt Mason & W Samuell Watkins for Bills of Exchange to their Mats Use, of which publick Notice is to be Given to all the adjacent Colonies; p. 39 therefore the Sale is deferred so long that all parts may have timely Notice, besides the Assembly and Provinciall Court will then be Mett at St Maries And Whereas it being made appear that there is some small quantity of Gold Dust & broken silver imported in the said Vessell; it is therevpon further Ordered that the Kings ffifth part of each be deducted and delivered into the hands of George Plater Esqr the Kings Receiver Genll by him to be kept in specie Untill further Order. Mordecai Vpon Petition of Mordecai Moor of Ann-Arrun Moors Pet & swearing Mr deli County to this Board humbly praying that the Hanslap Evidence of Henry Hanslap might be taken in the said County on behalf of the Widdow and Executrix of George
