   These are therefore to direct & Require you to Cause Letters Lib. H. D.

   Patents of the Vice-Admiralty of the Province and Territory

   of Maryland in America to be issued out of the High Court

   of Admiralty in their Mate Names to the said ffrancis Nicholson

   Esqr to continue Untill further Order in as large and ample

   manner as the same has been formerly Granted to any others

   or according to the Usuall forme of Letters Patents Granted

   to Vice-Admiralls in England with power to Ordain and

   appoint his Deputies and Under Officers and with Proviso that

   just Account be made every yeare and in default the said

   Letters Patents to cease and determine ffor which this shall be

   your Warrant Dated at the Admiralty Office this day of

   ffebry 1693/4

     The following Papers doe Relate to His Exncy Coll Nichol

   son's being Constituted Attorney for his Grace the Duke

   Schonburgh and Leinster to Receive & take into his possession

   all Wrecks &ca within the Limits of this Province for his said

   Grace's Use.

     His Excellency ffrancis Nicholson Esqr Capt Genll & Gov

   ernor in Chief of their Mates Province of Maryland

   His Grace It is now about a yeare since his Maty was pleased

   the Duke of

   Schonburg to Grant me his Letters Patents for all Wrecks,

   &Leinster's Derelicts &ca Between the Latitudes of Twelve

   Lre to Govr

  Nicholson  Degrees South and fforty Degrees North for Twenty

          years, for the securing of which and for the settle

   ment of due Correspondencies I have made and appointed
