The draught of a Comission presented by the Rt honble the Lords of the Comittee of Trade and Plantacons constituting and Appointing ffrancis Nicholson Esqr Capt Genll & Governour in Chief of Maryland in America having been this day Approved at the Board: His Maty in Councill is therevpon pleased to Order as it is hereby Ordered that the Right Honoble Sr John Trenchard Knt principall Secretary of State Doe Cause the said Draught to be prepared for his Mats Royal Signiture in Order to pass the Great Seale Rich Colinge At the Court at Whitehall

Nicholson tute Colonel ffrancis Nicholson to be their Matys Govr of Captain Generall and Governor in Chief of Maryland Maryland . . in America, The said Coll Nicholson, this day at the Board tooke the Oath appointed by the Acts of Trade and Navigation to be taken by the respective Governors of their Mats Plantations, Wm Bridgeman.
Whitehall The Commission of Vice-Admirall read, Ordered to be likewise Recorded Vide ffol 9. The following Papers doe Relate to his Exncies obtaining his Comission of Vice-Admirall &Ca I do hereby Certify that a Comission is passing Under the Great Seale of England, Constituting Coll ffrancis Nicholson Capt Generall and Governor in Chief of their Mats Province and Territory of Maryland in America, Councill Chamber the 8th Janry Wm Blathwayt 1693.
