                     Came from the House of Burgesses Capt John

            House of Hamond, Mr Thomas Tasker, Mr William Harris, Mr

            Burgesses Edward Jones & Mr Thomas Greenfield, they say

             they are comanded by their house humbly to desire

      

            the  con- their Honors to Represent to them the present con

               stitution of the Governmt that they may know how,

            ernrnt &Ca and to whome to applye themselves vpon all occa

            sions, according to their former Request, and concurrence of

            this board therevnto.

      

              They are dismissed to expect an Answer.

      

            Mr Tench His Exncie appoints & orders Mr Thomas Tench to

            sent to the

            House &ca goe to the house of Burgesses and acquaint them

                   that his Exncie comands their Attendance here in the

            Councill Chamber forthwith.

      

            Mr Tench Mr Tench haveing accordingly delivered his Mes

      

            Returnes sage returnes from thence and takes his place at the

            Board.

      

            The Speak. The Speaker and the rest of the Members of the

            er & rest

            of the Mem- house of Burgesses came & presented themselves to

            bers appeare his Exncie

       

              Exncie To them he was pleased to declare that vpon the

            the House present Emergency of the death of the late Governor

            of Assembly Copley, the King haveing coinanded his services

            here; he had in obedience therevnto vndertaken this Journey

            hither, that he had (by advice in Councill) thought fit by Pro

          p. 6   clamation to Continue all Officers civill & Military within this

            Province in their respective stations & places aforesd Untill

            further Orders, but vnderstanding that those Gentlemen the

            Representatives of the Province conveened by his Exncie the

            late Governor Copley decd were now in ‘l'owne, he had sent

            for them at this time, to let them knowe that he did dissolve

            the present Generall Assembly, and the same is hereby in

            their Majties Names accordingly dissolved.

      

            Proclam- Ordered, by advice in Councill, that Proclamations

             be prepared to be signed by his Exncie pass the Seale

            declare the and Transmitted to the severall respective Counties

      

               of this Province to Publish, pronounce & declare the

                   said Assembly to be dissolved.

              The same being prepared & Signed, & passed the Broad
