proposall the Result of the House was as follows Viz^t

By the house of Burgesses May 22^d 1695.

Opinion of the house that it will be for their Ma^ts Service,
that the ships that stay or shall come into this Province after
the present ffleet is gone May be cleared as fast as fill'd, and
leave the same to his Ex^ncies discretion.

Brought from the house of Burgesses by Maj^r Thompson
and Maj^r Whittington the Additional Act to the Act for Ports
& will pass upon their adding a Reserve to be made for Pub-
lick Buildings, &^ca
Recommended by his Ex^ncy to the House that the Right
Hon^ble W^m Blathwayt Esq^r be considered from this Countrey
as their Ma^ts Auditor Gen^rall (according to the Letter his
Ex^ncy Writt to him, And that M^r Povuy be considered as being
Agent for the Countrey; his Ex^ncy being pleased to acquaint
them, that he would advance Money for the said End and
purpose, if they were in any present Want.

Answer thereto as follows, Viz^t

This House having well considered of your Ex^ncies Pro-
posalls touching the gratifying the Hon^ble Esq^r Blathwayt & M^r
Pouvy do returne your Ex^ncyour hearty Thanks for your Gen-
erous Offer, but find ourselves altogether, incapable at this
time to gratify the afd Gentl: being at present Willing to
satisfy all such Obligations as this Province now lyes Under.

Wednesday May 15^th 1695.

Resolved that M^r William ffrisby be joyned with S^r Thomas
Lawrence to present our Addresses to his Ma^ty and Sollicit
the other Business of this Province.
