Opinion of the house that it will be for their Mats Service,
that the ships that stay or shall come into this Province after
the present ffleet is gone May be cleared as fast as fill'd, and
leave the same to his Exncies discretion.

and Majr Whittington the Additional Act to the Act for Ports
& will pass upon their adding a Reserve to be made for Pub-
lick Buildings, &ca
Recommended by his Exncy to the House that the Right
Honble Wm Blathwayt Esqr be considered from this Countrey
as their Mats Auditor Genrall (according to the Letter his
Exncy Writt to him, And that Mr Povuy be considered as being
Agent for the Countrey; his Exncy being pleased to acquaint
them, that he would advance Money for the said End and
purpose, if they were in any present Want.
Answer thereto as follows, Vizt

This House having well considered of your Exncies Pro-
posalls touching the gratifying the Honble Esqr Blathwayt & Mr
Pouvy do returne your Exncyour hearty Thanks for your Gen-
erous Offer, but find ourselves altogether, incapable at this
time to gratify the afd Gentl: being at present Willing to
satisfy all such Obligations as this Province now lyes Under.
