RESOLVES OF CONTINENTAL CONGRESS 13 FEBRUARY, 1779.

   "Resolved, That all the men, inhabitants of these states, who shall
be recruited in the corps of gen. Pulaski, and colonel Armand, in any
of the United States, shall be credited to the quota of the state in which
they shall be inlisted, they not being inhabitants of any other of the
United States.
   Resolved, That brigadier general Pulaski and col. Armand, make
returns to the board of war of the recruits they shall inlist: and in such
returns the places of nativity and settlement, and the state wherein they
were inlisted shall be particularly mentioned; and the board are hereby
directed to transmit to the respective states, the names and numbers of
such persons, inhabitants thereof, as shall be so inlisted."

RESOLVES OF CONTINENTAL CONGRESS 14 NOVEMBER, 1780.

   "Resolved, That Congress approve the mode suggested by the
commander in chief, of incorporating the remainder of the men of the
late brigadier general Pulaski's legion, and as many of the officers as
there are vacancies for, into colonel Armand's corps; and that a return
be made to the board of war of the deficiency of that corps, that
measures may be taken to complete it according to the late establish
ment; and that lieutenant-colonel Lee make a return of the deficiency
of his corps, for the same purpose."

   This is to Certifie that I have Pas'd the Seven recruits & Substi
tutes above mentioned Enlisted by Capt. De Segond. General Po
laskie's Legion, April 29th, 1778.
              And. Buchanan, Lt. Col.

To the Counceal
   I should have sent to you the certificat of the other men if Mr.
Buckanon your lieutenant, was came in town since the 29 of April that
he hath pas'd the seven above. I call for him many times I never met
him, as soon as he will make his appeareance in town I'll present them
and I'll send you his pass.
