during the War of the American Revolution, 1775-83. 515 NAMES. REGT. FOR WHAT REASONS STOPPED. John Edwards 2nd no such Man on any Musters. Patk. Flemon German issued twice, the name being spelled differently in the Certificates by which Depreciation was issued. Nathan Forster 5th issued twice, as supposing there were two of that name, but upon comparing with the Muster Rolls, there was but one of the Name. John Francis 1st was not in Service until the year 1781, therefore not entitled to Depreciation. Jereh. Farrell Hartley's see John Burgess and others of Hartley's Regt. Alex. Grim Rawlings' is not upon the Musters of Rawlings' Regiment or any others of the Maryland Quota. Joseph Hyner Moylan's he received his Depreciation in Pennsylvania, before his Application to this State, his final Settlement, which is Stopped, will however discharge part of this Depreciation. Charles Howard 3rd obtained by Perjury and Forgery in 1783 by some person assuming the Name, Charles Howard having died in October, 1781. Charles Hickey 2nd he does not appear by the Musters to have enlisted before the year 1781, therefore not entitled to Depreciation. Th. Hewington 7th obtained by John Dove as Abel Arman's was, and stopped for the same reason. Henry Ijams 5th is not on any Musters therefore not entitled. Willm. Jones Artillery he deserted by Information of Major Brown, therefore not entitled. Wm. Johnson 5th there is no such person on the Musters of the 5th Regt., there is a Wm. Johnson on the Rolls of the 2nd Regt. but neither of them entitled. Patk. Lynch 7th issued twice by mistake. Wm. Marquis Hartley's see John Burgess and others. Dennis McCarty Rawlings' not upon the Musters of Rawlings' Regiment. James McGuire 3rd received his Depreciation twice. John Macam 7th rec'd by John Dove in 1783, Macam has not been in the army since Augt. 16th, 1780, is supposed to be dead, and his Father has administered and now claims the Pay, &c. Timothy Mullen 3rd not regularly discharged not having appeared since August 1780, probably received by a person who assumed his name. John Malcom 2nd no such Man on the Musters of the 2nd Regt., probably received by a person who assumed his name. Alex. Mackay Artillery he deserted, therefore not entitled. Nichs. Nicholls 5th stopped for the reasons given in the Auditor's Rept. |
