514			Records of Maryland Troops in the Continental Service

have fallen or died in the service, and their widows and children shall
be entitled to such certificates.
    Be it enacted, That the lands commonly called Talbot's, or New
Connought Manor, in Caecil county, My Lady's Manor in Baltimore or
Baltimore and Harford counties, and Monococy Manor in Frederick
county, being British property, and seized and confiscated as such
shall be and are hereby set apart and burthened and charged with the
payment of the money and interest aforesaid due on the said certificates,
and the same shall be raised out of the said lands, by sales thereof, in
such manner as the general assembly shall hereafter direct.


  Depreciation Certificates, stopped at the Treasuries agreeable to Act
of Assembly passed November Session, 1784.


NAMES.       		REGT.				FOR WHAT REASONS STOPPED.

Abel Arman		7th     obtained by John Dove, in 1783, although Arman
				had deserted in July, 1780, order for the
				receipt supposed to be forged.
Edward Bailey		1st     not mustered before Aug, 1780, therefore not
				entitled to Depreciation.
William Bramble		2nd     was enlisted for nine months only, therefore not
				entitled to Depreciation.
John Burgess	    Hartley's	received his Depreciation in Pennsylvania, see
				the letter of Mr. Nicholson, Comptroller of
				that State.
John Barbar		do		do			do
James Beall		do		do			do
John Coomy	    Hazen's	obtained twice, first upon a Certificate in the
					Name John Kuny, the second on a discharge
					John Coomy, the same person meant.
Patrick Connally      5th	was left out of the Rolls in the Year 1779, and
				never served afterwards, therefore not entitled
				to Depreciation.
John Cheshire		2nd     obtained by perjury and forgery, some person
 				unknown having sworn himself to be Cheshire,
				and signed his name as such in June, 1783, the
				real John Cheshire was killed in June, 1781.
John Callahan		1st     he Deserted in the year 1778, therefore not
				entitled.
Michl. Connell		2nd     obtained upon his own Oath in June, 1783, his
 				Wife as supposing him dead, had obtained his
				Depreciation before.
William Dye		4th     after serving one Year, was stopped in Maryland
				by his former Master, this part of his pay
				therefore stopped payment.
