Whereupon it was considered and resolved on by this board
that precepts issue from hence requireing Capt. Phillim
Murry to continue his care in the guard and maintenance of
his Station at Xtina ffort, and that Major Edward Inglish for
Cecil County, Majr Peter Sayer for Talbott County, Coll
George Wells for Baltemore County and Coll Wm Stevens for
Somersett & Dorchester Counties be strictly required to take
especiall care for the defence maintenance and prservation of
the heads of the Rivers and ffrontire parts within their respec-
tive Counties precincts and Commands from any Incroachmts
(viz:)

Maryland ss:
Ordered that the ffort at Christina Bridge and the guard
there under the command of Captn Philim Murry be still con-

tinued and maintained for the preservation and defence of
those parts from all forreigne Incroachmts according to former
Instructions untill further ordr and that Coll George Wells of
Baltemore County, Maj Edward Inglish of Cecil County,
Majr Peter Sayer of Talbott County, & Coll William Stevens
of Somrsett County, take pticular care and have reguard to
the preservation and defence of the ffrontires and heads of the
Rivers within their severall and respective Counties precincts
and commands, from any Incroachmts or attempts thereof that
are shall or may be made offered or endeavoured to be made
upon this Province by any Strangers fforreignots or others to
the prejudice of his Lsp the Rt honble the Lord Propry of this
Province, his heires and Successors in the diminution of his and
their right Title and claime of in and unto the same, or to the
disturbance of the good people of this Province in the peace-
able and quiett possession of any part thereof, their goods and
properties persons and Estates, and the breach of his Lsps
peace. And that in ordr thereunto they and every of them doe
upon all occasions of that nature Exercise and make use of
the powers and authoritys granted them in and by their
severall and respective Commissions and Instructions, with all
diligent and prudent care and moderation to be taken therein.
