Sarah Willowby Depos:

Sarah Willowby wife of John Willowby of Anne Arrundll
County, and Relict of Robert ffrancklyn late of the same
County deed: being aged ffourty seaven yeares or thereabouts
upon oath saith, that one Evening discourseing with her said
husband Mr Robert ffrancklyn concerning Coll Burges, that
the sd Coll Burges being very urgent for the makeing over of


some land of hers the said Sarahs, she the said Sarah told him
the said ffrancklyn, that she wondred that he should pay to
Coll Tailler the publick due from her ffather Coll Burges's
Customers and that if he would but pay it to her ffather he
would be better satisfied; To which the said ffrancklyn replyed,
and desired her to be quiett that he had been rated enough
about it, but when he had done all that he could to satisfie Coll
Taillor, he should still be in his debt, Twenty Thousand pounds
of Tobacco: And for any goods that her sd husband Mr
ffrancklyn should bring home to her, she knows not of any
more then to the value of about 2 hhs. of tobacco or there-
abouts, and further saith not marke of

Walter Carr of Anne Arrundll County aged ffifty two yeares
and upwards, upon oath saith that Robt ffrancklyn late of
Anne Arrundell County deed: did in his life time declare to
this Dept that he the said ffrancklyn was indebted to Coll
Thomas Tailler Twenty Thousand pounds of tobacco, the
which the said Coll Tailler had paid for him the said ffrancklyn,
the which declaration the said ffrancklyn did make to this
