of the said Office hereby granted unto him, full power and
Authority from time to time by his Depties to make, constitute,
ordeine, and publish in our name such wholesome, reasonable,
and profitable, Ordinances, Edicts, and Proclamations within
our sd Province, for the better governing of the people in our
sd Province, and with such reasonable paines and penalties to
be therein expressed, as wee our self may Lawfully doe being
psonally prsent in our sd Province. Willing and hereby
requireing that all the above mentioned powers and Authoritys
by these prsents Given and granted to our sd Deare sonn be
from time to time (as occasion shall require) Exercised pformed
and Executed for our sd Deare Sonn (by reason of his tender
yeares) by our trusty and well beloved Councellor Thomas
Tailler Esqr Vincent Lowe Esqr Henry Darnall Esqr William
Digges Esqr William Stevens Esqr William Burges Esqr
Nicholas Sewall Esqr and Clement Hill Esqr whom by these
prsents we Constitute authorise and appoint our Deputies and
Comissionrs under our sd Deare Sonn, during our absence out
of our sd Province, or untill we or our heires shall signifie our
or their pleasure to the Contrary. Hereby giveing and
granting unto the said Thomas Taillor, Vincent Lowe, Henry
Darnall, William Digges, William Stevens, William Burges,
Nicholas Sewall, and Clement Hill the custody Governmt and
Command of our said Province, as our Depties and Commis-
sionrs under our said Deare Sonn dureing our absence, And
also by these prsents Impowering the said Thomas Tailler,
Vincent Lowe, Henry Darnall, William Digges, William
Stevens, William Burges, Nicholas Sewall, & Clement Hill, or
any three or more of them (of which we will that the sd Henry
Darnall, William Digges and Nicholas Sewall, or any two or
one of them be alwaies prsent) as our Deputies and Commis-
sionrs under our sd Deare Sonn to exercise & execute all the
severall powers and authoritys given to our sd Deare Sonn by
vertue of these prsents here before mentioned.
Given undr our hand and lesser Seale at Armes this seaven-
teenth day of August in the Tenth yeare of our Dominion
over our sd Province of Maryland, and in the yeare of our
Lord God, One thousand Six hundred Eighty and ffive.
Endorsed
Wee Doe hereby Authorise Henry Darnall & Wm Digges
gentl or either of them to adminr the vsuall oath of our Depty
or Depties of our sd Province to the gentl named in the Comor

on the other side; and we doe also hereby authorise Nichs
Sewall & Clemt Hill gentl to Admr the same Oath unto the sd
Henry Darnall & Wm Digges Given undr our hand this 21th
