Charles Absolute Lord and Propry of the Provinces of Mary-
land and Avalon Lord Baron of Baltemore &c: To all the
Inhabitants and people of Maryland, and all others to whom
these prsents shall come or any waies concerne Greeteing.
Whereas our prsent affaires doe require our stay in England
for some moneths longer then wee intended, and that dureing

our stay here, We have thought fitt and requisite to make

some alterations in the Commission we formerly granted to
our Deare Sonn Benedict Leonard Calvert Esqr Know yee
therefore that wee have given and granted and by these prsents
doe give and grant unto our said Deare Sonn the Office of
Lievetenant Genll Chiefe Captain Chiefe Governor and Com-
mandr and Chiefe Admirall both by Sea & Land of our Pro-
vince of Maryland, and of all our Islands Territoryes and
