with reflection upon your petrs poor Estate & Condition.

Resolved that the County be charged with the ffees of the
petr and that he after he hath served his time with his master
(to whom he is to be returned) reimburse the County p servi-
tude or otherwise as the Comrs shall adjudge, according to
Law.

By the Depties Lievetents
Maryld ss: A Proclamation

fforasmuch as by an Act of Assembly of this Province made
in the Eighth yeare of the Dominion of the Rt honble Charles
&c. Annoq Dmi 1683, Intituled an act for advancemt of
Trade. It was Enacted that noe pson or psons not being
Inhabitants and taxables in this Province shall at any time or
times after the last day of August 1685: transport and carry in
any boate or Vessell whatsoever from any plantation or plan-
tations, or from any other place or places save the Townes or
Ports in the sd Act mentioned to any Port of this Province, or
on board any shipp or vessell whatsoever any Tobaccos,
goods, wares, and manufacture of this Province, under pen-
alty and loss of such Tobaccos, goods wares and manufactures
of this Province, together with the loss of such sloope boate
or other vessell, that shall lade transport and carry the
same or the value thereof in manner and forme as in
the said Act is expressly mentioned and sett forth: And
whereas the Inhabitants taxables of this Province are not
as yett qualified and supplyed with necessary and convenient
sloopes Boates or other vessells to lade transport and carry

such Tobaccos, wares and manufactures as aforesaid to the
Ports and places of trade aforesd in manner aforesd And for
that all Masters of Shipps, Marriners, Mrchants and ffactors
tradeing hither and not resident as aforesd are disabled by the
sd Act to lade transport and carry such Tobaccos wares and
Manufactures of this Province aforesd and by that meanes the
same must consequently remaine at the severall places and
plantations where it was made and produced, to the great
disappointmt loss and damage of the severall Shipps their
Mastrs Mrchants and ffactors in the delay of trade and Impedi-
