Produced and read the foll Lettr from his Lsp the Rt honble
the Lord Propry (viz:)

Ld Proprys Lettr to the Councill for del. Coll Talbott
to the Governr Virga

Londo 3d July 1685:
Gentlemen
Whereas I am informed by Lettrs which I have very lately
reed: from Coll Taillor, Coll Digges, and Majr Sewall, that
Coll Geo: Talbott hath surrendred himself to the Governmt of
Maryland in hopes to Receive his tryall there, And being
also made sensible that it formerly was, and still is the Kings
pleasure the said Talbott shall be brought over in the Quaker
Ketch into England to receive his tryall here, and that in ordr
thereunto his Majtie has sent his Commands to the Governr of
Virginia to deliver him to Capt Allin Commandr of the said
Ketch, who is to bring him over hither; I doe therefore hereby
ordr and Require you upon sight hereof to deliver or cause to
be delivered the said Talbott to the Governor of Virginia to
the end his Majties pleasure may be ffulfilled in this matter,
whereof you are not to faile and soe I rest

Ordr to send Coll Talbott away.

Resolved that speciall care be forthwith taken for the con-
veying away & safely delivering to his Exncy the Lord Effing-
ham Governr of Virginia, the said Coll George Talbott pur-

suant to his Lsps Lett" aforegoeing and that Gilbert Clarke
have the charge thereof, and in ordr there unto to be empow-
ered to press a good and Sufficient boate Sloop or Shallop and
four Rowers and provisions sufficient for them and a guard of
