favour of Mrs Anne Bankes concerning the fferry.
By the Councill May 5th 1685
Gentl:
Mrs Anne Bankes of your County widow haveing (upon
your contract with her late deed: husband, and promise to
herself of keepeing the County fferry) made convenient pro-
vision, and hired a fitt pson for that purpose, hath this day
humbly mooved this board to incite you to a ready comply-
ance with and pformance of such your contract and promise
aforesaid, whereupon it is Ordered and you are hereby
desired to take the same into your consideration and to con-
firme unto her by an ordr of your Court, the keepeing of the
said fferry for the yeare ensueing, that soe she may not to her
greate detriment be disappointed thereof, and have cause
further to complaine of haveing too much confidence in you
and rendred her self capable to serve the County upon your
word and promise, to noe other purpose, but her owne loss
and damage.
