Ordered that William Peirce high Sheriff of Cecill County

prosecute the ordrs formerly sent him from this board against
Coll George Talbott, ffor his delayes therein give cause of sus-
pition that he holds correspondence with the said Coll George
Talbott.

Ordered that Mr Clebourne Lomax Depty to Coll Wm Chan-
dler late high Sheriff of Charles County execute all process
and prcepts to him directed, as if Coll Chandler were now
liveing till further ordr from the Councill

Ordered that Mr Edward Batson have a Commission for
Deputy Survr of Calvert County. And that Mr Clement hill
of St Maries County have a Commission for Depty Survr Genll
in the roome of Mr Robert Jones lately deed; and that the
same ffees be allowed him that were allowed Mr Robert Jones.

Then produced and read the following Lettr from Coll
Wells (viz:)

Sr
The occasion of this trouble to yr Honor is, This day Capt
Johnson came with a Sinico and a Pascattoway Indian that
formerly lived with Coll Burges, and knowne by the name of
Isaack, and acquainted me that the Sinnico Warr Caprs and
Chiefe Comandrs were come downe to renew their league

with the Christians and Pascattowayes, and much urged me
to send to yr Honors to acquaint you that they would stay
upon Susquehannah River to wayte an answer and that they
desired speedily to speake with the Pascattoway greate men,
and to confirme a peace with them, and that the said Isaack
should returne with the Pascattowaies and live with them, and
that the Sinnicos would be as Brethren.
This Sr is urged to me as a matter of greate consequence
relateing to the peace and safety of this Province; I therefore
offer it to your Honors serious consideration, and humbly
request it may with all speed be comunicated to the rest of
the honble Councill of this Province, that with all speed some-
thing may be done before they are wearied with staying and
worse come of it.
This Sr with the Captains and my humble service to your
Honor and the rest of the honble Councill is all from
Aprill the 7th 1685: Yr humble Servant
