Maryld ss:

Ordered that the Rents and leavys of the severall Troopers
in Charles County under the Command of Capt Randolph
Brandt being first pd and satisfied payment be then made to
the said Capt Brandt of what is justly due to him from the
said Troopers out of their publick pay allotted them in the
severall Counties of this Province. Dated the Eighth Day of
October in the Sixth yeare of the Dominion of the Rt honble
Charles &c. Annoq Dmi. 1681:

Then next read and heard a Petition preferred by Elizabeth
Withrington convicted & condemned for ffelony viz.

P. 267

To the Rt honble Charles absolute Lord & Propry of this
Province
The humble Petition of Elizabeth Withrington Prisoner.
Most humbly Sheweth
Unto your Lspp that your Petitioner was Indicted arraigned
and convicted before your Lspps Justices of the Provll Court for
the felonious takeing of severall goods belonging to Mr Cog-
den and Mr Scott and now lyes under the just sentence of the
Law. Your Petr hath nothing to alledge for her justification, nor
any other foundation to ground the hopes of her life on but
your Lspps abundant goodness and mercy, which she doth most
humbly begg your Lspp to extend to her in the pardoning her
crime and granting her life.
And as in Duty bound she shall pray &c.

His Lspp grants the prayer of the Petitioner and orders pardon
to be drawne accordingly.

By Benjamin Randall a petiton viz.

To the Rt honble the Lord Propry & his honble Councill
The humble Petition of Benj. Randall of Kent County
humbly Sheweth.
That whereas your Petitioner hath been permitted to prac-
tice as an Attorney in your Lspps County Court of Kent
County in wch employmt he hath well and honestly behaved
and Demeaned himself, notwithstanding which the Com-
missionrs of the said County have denyed your Petitioner the
