brought to condign punishment; Wee have thought fitt and
in Councill determined by this our Proclamation, publickly to
make knowne and declare such our Information, hereby will-
ing and requireing as also strictly chargeing and Commanding
all and singular his Lsps Officers civill and military within this
Province, and others the good people thereof to make all dili-
gent search and Enquiry in and about their severall precincts
and places of abode, or else where, where they shall happen
to come or be informed of the said George Talbott, and to use
their utmost endeavour, skill, cunning and power by all waies
and meanes Imaginable to find him, and him wheresoever he
shall be found forthwith to apprehend, and with a secure and
Safe guard to keepe and convey with all speed to his Lsps:

Councill at the City of St Maries in ordr to be further secured
untill such time as he shall be brought to a legall tryall,
whereof lett none faile at their perill: And that it may the
better be knowne & divulged wee Doe hereby strictly charge
and Command all and singular the respective sheriffes of the
severall and respective Counties within this Province, forth-
with upon receipt hereof to make publick Proclamation hereof
in all and every the most publick and convenient places within
their sd Counties, Soe that none endeavouring to conceale, or
connive at the concealement or carrying away from Justice
the said Murderer may have any colour or pretence to plead
Ignorance, or haveing noe knowledge thereof.
Given at the City of St Maries under the greate Seale of
this Province of Maryland the second day of March in the
Tenth yeare of the Dominion of the Rt honble Charles &c.

The honble Coll Wm Stevens prsents to the board a Com-
plaint exhibited by the Emperor of Assateague against one
Edward Haman of Somrsett County (viz.)
The Emperor Choatam Complt against Edward Haman
whereas Edward Haman when he first came in our Towne
he promised us that he would be civill to us, and after
some time he said our doggs killed his hoggs, and then he
killed Seaven of our dogs, and at another time he killed
three doggs more, and threatens us that he will burn our
Court house, and that we shall not keepe our Matcha-
comico in Copomco any more; soe we would have the English
Court to consider about these things, and that we may
not be abused, soe long as wee are civill to him and all
English men, soe we desire to have justice and remedy in this
County Court, if not we doe intend to goe to St Maries to the
