These

Mr Thomas Burford one of the Attorneys of the Provinciall
Court is called in and by his Lspp nominated and appointed his
Attorney Gen" and therefore peremptorily commanded to desist
from prosecuting any suite for any other person wherein his
Lspp has been or is contrarily concerned his Honor the Chan-
celor is Desired to prepare a Commission for sd Burford

Ordered that Coll William Stevens be by Letter desired to
give his attendance at Councill at the time of the next Provll
Court in November Ordered also that new writts issue for the
Election of One Delegate to serve for St Maries County in the
Assembly in the roome of Walter Hall deed:

At a Councill held at the City of St Maries the Sixth day of
October Anno Dmi. 1681: by ordr from the Rt honble the Lord

Present.

His Lspp by Coll Darnall then present represents to this
board that one Mr Robert an Eastern Shore Indian and
Brother to the Emperour of Nantecoke was then with his
Lspp at Mattapony and bound over to the Emperour with pres-
ents from the Pascattoway Indians Desireing Assistance from
his Indians, wch the said Robert hath acquainted his Lspp the
Nantecoke Indians are inclinable to afford them, if his Lspp will
give them leave to send over some of their men for that pur-
pose, to which his Lspp signifies his inclination and consent but
desires the approbation and advice of his Councill wch issued
in the following ordr of this board, viz.

Whereas Mr Robert an Indian Brother to the Emperour of

Nantecoke haveing lately been with the Pascattoway Indians
