The next day Mr Cordea his Shooemaker told me that the
seamen of the Mann of War had been in my garden, and
tooke what they had occasion for as Cabbidge and the like,
and that they would have killed one of my Sheepe, if he had
not prevented it.
And further that they had been in his Masters house boyle-
ing the said Cabbidge and some meate at their pleasure, and
that he was sick and lett them doe what he would.
And I found my garden all destroyed by the sheep and
Cattle that went in at a breach I found the next day betweene
the pallisadoes

Came the Sheriff of Calvert County and produced his warrt
for apprehending of Coll Talbott with his returne thereupon
made endorsed on the back thereof (viz:)
Warr' to apprehend Coll Talbott.
Maryland ss:
Whereas It is reported, and we have been certainly informed
that George Talbott Esqr of this Province hath lately com-
mitted a murdr on the body of Christopher Rousby Esqr late
of this Province also, and is now on board some ship within
the River of Pottuxen
These are therefore in the name of the Rt honble the Lord
Propry of this Province to will and require, as also strictly to
charge and command you that immediately upon sight hereof
you make diligent search and enquiry as well on board all or
any shipp or shipps Vessell or Vessells, as also in and about
all and every house or houses, place or places within your
Bailywick for the said George Talbott, and him wheresoever
he shall be found to apprehend and take into your safe cus-
tody soe that you have him before us or some other his Lsps
Justices of the Provinciall Court in ordr to his further prose-
cution and tryall. Hereof faile not at your perill, and for soe
