Coll Talbott to be demanded of the Governmt of Virginia &c
The proceedings of the said Coll Henry Darnall and Major
Nicholas Sewall in this affaire being approoved on by the board
It was Resolved that, if the said Capt Allen should Offer to
carry away the said Coll Talbott a prisoner into Virginia (as
he had given out) demand should be made by this Governmt
of that Governmt for the delivery up of the said Prisoner to
be tryed here where the fact was committed, and that a Lett
for that purpose be writt to the Lord Effingham, desireing
him also together with the prisoner to send over such persons
belonging to the said Ketch as cann give any Evidence
against the prisoner upon his tryall

Came Mr Garratt Vansweeringen of the City of St Maries
and complained of severall insolencies and injuries done him
by Capt Allens men when they came a shoare there in Octo-
ber last to wch he made oath in manner foll (viz.)
The Deposition of Garrat Vansweringen gentl one of the
Aldermen of the City of St Maries
About the 20th day of October soe neare as I cann guess, I
came from my plantation being on horse back, I mett with a
party of Seamen within the City of St Maries goeing toward
Mr Lynes, I asked them from whence they came, they
answered me very roughly from home, whereupon I askd
them some other questions what they were but could gett noe
other answer of them then as is said before.
But meeteing with two or three of the said Crue with mus-
ketts upon their shoulders, and those'men heareing me ques-
tion them that went before, they told me we belong to the
