I delivered the keys through feares and threats, but all the
keys not to be found, he the said Ringold broke open two
Chests under pretence to search for a will, and some short
time after the said Ringold desired me to lett him adminr and
told me that I should have one Chamber furnished ffree, and
that he would goe hand in hand with me to my Lord, and that
My Lord should Confirme what Major Ringold would give
me, (to say) a Chamber furnisht; ffor he says that all the
houses & orchards were mortgaged to him already, and that
he could turne me out of doores when he pleased, and then

Lib. R. R. R.

noebody would be my security for Letters of Admrcon and
then he would Administer
The 14th Day of November last he came raveing to me for
some papers that he said I had off his, and by his raveing putt
me in such a fright that I fled to a couple of men which were
writeing by, and I craved their assistance to direct me in what
I were best to doe, soe they advised me to show him the
papers, upon wch I pulled out three bundles and threw them on
the Table, and bid him see if they were amongst them, at
length he found a paper which he pretended was his; I asked
him what it was, and he said it was the Mortgage of these
houses from Mr Tovey to him, and then I required a coppy of
them, which he denyed me, but at length he suffered the two
men to read it
Now Sr I would know whither that cann be the act and deed

taken from his widow after his death; ffor the houses and
Lands are Leases for yeares, and I am informed that as a
Chattle they ought to be appraised in the personall Estate off
which I desire you to give me your advice, and that you would
both in these and all other causes be a friend and assistant to
me, and I shall endeavour to make you honest satisfaction soe
