At a Councill held at St Maries City the five & Twentieth
day of June Anno Dmi 1684:

Present
Capt Josias ffendall aboard Watkins Shipp according to the
Informa of James Neale.
This board being informed and given to understand by Mr
James Neale of Charles County that Capt Josias ffendall lately
banished this Province by due course of Law was now on
board the Shipp Margarett of London Capt Edward Watkins
Commandr rideing at anchor in Pottomock River within this
Province.
It was Ordered that precept be directed to the Sheriff of St

Maries County or his Deputy to goe on board the said Shipp
to search for and apprehend the said ffendall & have him be-
fore this board, giveing power to the sd Sheriff or his Depty to
press boate & hands with other necessaryes and assistance
convenient for that purpose, and accordingly issued this foll
precept (vizt)
Warrant to search for & apprehend Capt Josias ffendall.
Maryland ss: By the Councill
You are hereby in the name of the Rt honble the Lord Propry
willed and required, as also strictly charged and commanded
forthwith upon sight hereof to press boate and hands, and
what other conveniencies and assistance shall be necessary;
and to goe on board the Shipp Margarett of London Capt Ed-
ward Watkins Comandr now rideing at Anchor in Potto-
mock River or else where wth in this Province, and the same
strictly and diligently, you are to search and looke for the
body of Josias ffendall; and if he be not there, you are cun-
ningly and diligently to enquire whither he be not conveyed
or putt on shoare, or otherwise concealed, & where, The said
ffendall wheresoever he shall be found within this Province
you are to apprehend and take into your safe custody, soe as
to have him before his Lsps Councill with all expedition; and
for soe doeing this shall be your warrant Dated at the City of
St Maries the ffour and Twentieth day of June in the nineth
