Was then read to the board the severall Commissions left
by his Lspp at his departure upon his voyage for Engld viz:
The Commission for the Governmt The Commission for Coun-
cill of State, The Comission for Chiefe Judge and Justices
of the Provinciall Court, and a Commission & Instructions for
a Land Councill
The oath of Deputies and Commissionrs to the honble Bene-
dict Leonard Calvert Esqr was then Administred to Coll
Taillor, Coll Digges, Coll Stevens, and Coll Burges
The oath of Councellor of State was also Administred unto
the aforesaid Coll Taillor Coll Digges, Coll Stevens, and Coll
Burges, and to Mr Edward Pye also.
Came Mr Robert Carvile and prayed that pursuant to an
ordr of his Lspp and Councill the 29th of Aprill last upon his
humble petition then preferred he may be now admitted to
Enter into single Recognizance himself before the honble the
Commissaryes or Secrys or any or either of them, in discharge
of his sureties given to the Prov" Court wch was granted, and
his Recognizance accordingly taken before the honble John
Darnall Esqr one of his Lsps Secrys, and is as foll viz:

Memd: the ffour and Twentyeth day of June in the nineth
yeare of the Dominion of the Rt honble Charles &c: over this
Province Annoq Dmi: 1684 came before me John Darnall Esqr
Secretary and one of his Ldsps Justices of the Provinciall Court,
Robert Carvile of the County of St Maries, and acknowledged
himself to owe and be justly indebted unto the Rt honble the
Lord Propry of this Province in the full and just summe of
ffourty pounds Lawfull currant money of England, To be
leavyed of his goods & Chattells Lands and Tenemts upon con-
dition foll; that if the said Robert Carvile shall well behave
himself, and be of good abearance as well towards his Lsp: the
said Lord Propry as to all and singular the good people of this
Province, for and untill the next Provinciall Court to be holden
for the said Lord Propry at the City of St Maries, then the
above Recognizance to be void and of none effect or else to
stand in good force power and vertue in Law
