and take into his safe custody the said William Jones whereso-
ever he shall be found within this Province soe as to have him
with all speed before this board to answer his contempt afore-
said, and to abide further what shall be therein ordered.

To the Right Honourable the Lord Proprietary and his honble
Council

The humble petition of James Round of Somerset County
Humbly Sheweth.
That Your Petitioner confidently acknowledging your Lord-
ships Just Right and Propriety of in and unto all the Lands on
the Sea board Side the Whore Kills and Delaware Bay and
River to the fortieth Degree of Northern Latitude Granted by his
late Majestys Royal Charter to your Lordships Father Cecilius
&ca of noble memory his Heirs and Successors and knowing
of a convenient Tract or Parcell of Land on the Seaboard
Side within the Bounds of this your Lordships Province afore-
said called by the name of Cedar Neck Bounding on the
North East by a Bay or Sound called Rehoboth Inlett, on the
South East by the Main Ocean, on the South West by a Creek
or Branch, and on the North West by a Creek running out of
Rehoboth Bay or Inlett aforesaid containing as your Petitioner
Conceives twelve Hundred Acres or thereabouts part or
parcell of Four Thousand Acres of Land reserved by William
Penn Esqr in a manner for his own use, unjustly Claiming and
detaining the same amongst other Lands from your Lordship
under Colour and pretence that the same is the Lawful Right
of his Royal Highness the Duke of York, and the Government
and Jurisdiction thereof Vested and Setled in him the said
William Penn
Your Petitioner an Inhabitant of this Province with all
Humility Owning and Acknowledging your Lordships Just
Lawful and Equitable Right and Title thereunto notwithstand-
ing the Pretence of the said William Penn aforementioned,
and desirous to take up the same under your Lordships Juris-
diction and Government (whereof he is a true and faithful
Subject) most humbly prays your Lordships Special Warrant
to the Surveyor General or his Lawful Deputy to lay out the
said Tract or Neck of Land according to the Bounds aforesaid
for and in the name of your petitioner and upon due Return
of the Certificate thereof made unto your Lordship and Coun-
cil your Lordships Letters patients for the same to him and
his Heirs for ever, Your Petitioner complying with your Lord-
ships Conditions of plantation in force within this province, or
otherwise satisfying to your Lordship for the same as may be
required and reasonably demanded by your Lordship for the
same And as in Duty Bound &ca
