The humble Petition of Robert Carvile
Sheweth.
That your petitioner according to his bounden Duty hath
often humbly supplicated your L^sp: for your L^sps grace and
favour to be extended to him, knowing that if your L^sp: con-
tinue to proceed with the rigour of Justice against him, it will
tend to the ruine of your pet^r and family: That your L^sps
designed voyage for England (to which your Pet^r doth heartily
wish a prosperous hon^ble and happy success, and safe returne)
hath left your Pet^r this onely oportunity of addressing himself
to your L^sps clemency, and he humbly begs pardon for this
Importunity dreading the consequence of being thus left by
your L^sp with the remarks of your L^sps displeasure towards
him, assureing your L^sp: that he shall not be wanting accord-
ing to his ability to emproove your L^sps bounty and mercy to
the Advancem^t of your L^sps Hono^r and Interest herein what
becomes the duty of a good Subject and a Christian.
Your Pet^r therefore humbly beseeches your L^sp will be

graciously pleased to readmitt your Pet^r to his practice of an
Attourney and ord^r his 'Recognizance of good behaviour to be
withdrawne, and accept of such composition for his ffind as
your L^sp: in your charitable benignity shall consider off
