within the County aforesaid; you are also to observe all such
ordrs as you shall from time to time receive from us or our
Lievetent Generall in our absence, or from our Attorney gen"
for the time being. To have hold and enjoy the sd Office of
our County Attorney for Cecil County, with all ffees benefitts
and pquisites thereunto belonging for and dureing our will
and pleasure, and noe longer. Given under our hand & lesser
Seale at Armes this 19th Day of March 1863:

Coll Geo: Talbott Comon to dispose of lands in New Ireland in
Cecil County March 19th 1683.

Charles &ca To George Talbott Esqr Greeteing.

Out of our especiall trust reposed in your fidelity, conduct,
courage, and circumspection, and in your affection to us, and
to our just and Lawfull Interest, Wee have thought fitt to con-
stitute, and doe hereby constitute ordeine and appoint you to
be our Commissionr for disposeall of Lands in New Ireland
and the pts adjoyneing, to the River and Bay of Delaware on
the west side thereof, and to the Southward of the ffortieth
degree of Northerly Latitude, there to grant warrants in our
name for Lands not actually Inhabited, nor already layd out in
our name for other psons, to all psons desireing the same,
according to the tenor of the Instructions already delivered to
you, and likewise to protect and defend to your utmost power,
the persons & Estates of all people in those parts who shall
putt themselves willingly under the protection of our Gov-

ernmt according to yor Instructions aforesaid. To which end
you are (in cases of urgent necessity) to make use of the
assistance of such a part of your Regiment of horse, as you
shall think necessary; you are also to treate and Article in our
name with such persons liveing in those parts, as shall be will-
ing to submitt themselves to our Governmt and what you
promise them under your hand & Seale as to the confirmation
of our right to their lands in the parts aforesaid. We doe
hereby bind our Self to see performed, as also that they shall
be defended and protected in their Estates and persons from
all others Claymeing to their lands or Rents; Wee Doe also
hereby constitute and appoint you the said George Talbott
Deputy for us of the North and North East Confines of this
our Province, hereby authoriseing and requireing you to use
the utmost of your skill Industry and power to prevent and
hinder the Incroachmts of William Penn Esqr Governor and
Propry of Penesylvania and his partakers on the Confines and
borders aforesd To which end you are required to observe the
Instructions formerly given you dated the 12th instant, and
your Latter Instructions beareing equall date herewith in
