one pound thereof (though often demanded the same) to his

greate damage. Whereupon he humbly prayes your Lsps
consideration of the premisses, and order some speedy remedy
for releife of your petr herein

By the Lord Propry & Councill
Upon the Complaint of Thomas Pue of Calvert County agt
Coll Henry Jowles high sheriff of Calvert County for not
complying with paymt of the publick dues, It is this day
ordered in Councill, that the Attorney Generall putt in Suite
the bonds given by the said Jowles for his due Execution and
true pformance of the sd Office and that the honble the Secrys
of this Province deliver the sd bond to the Attorney for the
same purpose. Signed p ordr

To the Rt honble the Lord Propry in Councill
The humble Petition of John Saxon.
Sheweth
That your Lspp heretofore was graciously pleased to con-
sider your petr some allowance for petitions presented to yr
Lsp in Councill
Yr Petr humbly prayes ordr for ascertaineing the same, and
how the same shall be paid your Pet'
And in duty bound shall pray.

Clk Council & Doorekeepers ffees.

Ordered that the summe of twelve pence sterl in ready
money or twenty pounds of tobacco be hereafter paid to the
Doore keeper of the Councill for the tyme being as a ffee
settled on him by this board for every petition preferred to his
Lspp in Councill, and that the Clerk of the Councill take care
to secure the same with and as well as his owne ffees being
Tenn shillings sterl or Two hundred pounds of Tobacco for
every petition as aforesaid Now and hereby settled upon him
