At a Councill held, at the City of St Maries the third Day of
Aprill Anno Dmi 1683:

The Rt honble the Lord Propry

Present

Came John Saxon and prayed the reading of his petition as
foll (viz.)

Liber R.

To the Rt honble the Lord Propry and his honble Councill
The humble Petition of John Saxon Doore keeper to the
Councill Roome
Humbly Sheweth
That your Petr gives daily and hourely attendance in his sd
place dureing the Councills sitting And your Petr is informed
that a certaine ffee or reward is allowed to those in his place
in other parts from such as become suitors in that nature, but
as yett noe ffee has been allowed or settled to the Doore
keeper of the Councill Roome in this Province.
Your Petr therefore humbly prays that some certain ffee
may be allowed your Pef as Doorekeeper from such as shall
deliver petitions into Councill
And he shall ever pray &ca

Ordered that the summe of Six pence sterling or tenn
pounds of tobacco be allowed and paid to the Doore keeper
of the Councill Roome for the time being for every petition
preferred to his Ldspp and Councill to be paid and satisfied by
the persons Suitors therein

On petition preferred by Mr George Buttler ordered to be
read being as foll (viz.)

To the Rt honble Charles absolute Lord and Propry of the
Provinces of Maryland and Avalon Lord Baron of Balte-
more &ca
The humble Petition of George Buttler
Sheweth
That your Petr haveing rashly and through inadvertency
lately incurred your Ldspps most heavy displeasure is now at
last become highly sensible of his Error & ffolly therein
humbly begging your Ldsps pardon for his Offences being most
ready & willing to make and give such further Testimonyes
