the sd Office of Judge and Commissary Genll aforesaid in our
sd Province unto you our sd Couzens, and soe to remaine and
continue doe and exercise all and singular the premisses till
we shall Signifye our will and pleasure to the Contrary.
Given at our City of St Maries under our hand and greate
Seale of our Province the Six and Twentyeth day of January
in the Eighth yeare of our Dominion over this our Province
Annoq Dmi. 1682:

On the back of wch foregoing Commission were written
these foll Endorsemts viz.

Wee doe by this our Endorsemt under our hand Give and
grant unto the within named Henry Darnall and William
Digges power and Authority to depute such person in their
absence from the sd Office as they shall thinke fitt to Elect for the
Signeing and Sealeing of all Commissions for probate of wills
and granting of Administracons of what nature or Quality
soever and for the Administring Oathes relateing to the
Office aforesaid.
Given this 26th January 1682: C: Baltemore

I Doe hereby Empower you John Darnall to Administer
the oath of Chiefe judge for probate of wills and granting
Letters of Administration as also the oath of keepers of the
greate Seale to Henry Darnall and William Digges Coun-
cellors. Given under my hand this 26th day of January 1682:
To Mr John Darnall. C: Baltemore

The Oathes of Keepers of the greate Seale, and that of
Chiefe Judge for probate of wills and granting Letters of
Adminrcon was this sd 26th day of January 1682: taken by
Henry Darnall and William Digges Esqrs before me

Charles Absolute Lord and Propry of the Provinces of Mary-
land and Avalon Lord Baron of Baltemore &c: To all
Officers and all others in this our Province of Maryland whom
these may Concerne Greeteing. Know yee that wee repose-
ing especiall trust and Confidence in the wisdome Diligence
experience and ffidelity of our trusty and wellbeloved Sonn in
Law Nicholas Sewall, and our trusty and well beloved Couzen
John Darnall Gentlemen, have Constituted appointed and
