Charles Absolute Lord and Propry of the Province of Mary-
land and Avalon Lord Baron of Baltemore &ca To Our
trusty and well beloved Cozens Henry Darnall Esqr and
William Digges Esqr Justices of our Provinciall Court of this
our Province of Maryland Greeteing Whereas for the due
Administration of Justice It is most necessary that there be a
succession from the dead to the living, and that the wills of all
persons dyeing who in their life tyme doe make wills may be
duely prooved, and Letters of Administration of all persons
dyeing without wills may be granted to such persons who
have the best right to succeed thereunto, that there may in
that case be noe failure of Justice but that it may be duely
Administred to all people within the sd Province of Maryland.
Know therefore that wee trusting in the Ability care and
Integrity of you our sd Cozens To be our Judges or Commis-
sary Genll for probate of Wills and granting of Administra-
tions within the whole Province of Maryland aforesaid, and
for all manner of Causes relateing to the probate- of Wills and
granting of Administracons of the goods and Chattells of all
persons already deceased or hereafter deceaseing as to any
Goods or Chattells which they have or shall have within the
sd Province of Maryland. And in all the Incidencies and
Emergencies thereunto belonging or thereupon ariseing, and
in all matters concerning the Exhibiting of the Inventories or
Accompts upon the makeing probate of any such Will or
Wills or Granting of any Letters of Administracon, and of all
and every the rights and appurtences thereunto belonging at
the suite or Instance of any person or persons haveing or pre-
tending to have any Interest, and to proceed and Determine,
sentence, decree and adjudge the same, and every of them
