Wee did by Proclamation bearing date the Tenth day of July

last past declare the calling of a new Assembly to beginn and
be holden at the City of St Maries the twelfth day of October
then next following which said Assembly we did by proclama-
tion bearing date the nineth .day of September last past pro-
rogue untill the four and Twentieth day of October then next
following and from thence by Proclamation bearing date the
said four and Twentieth day of October we did also further
prorogue the same untill the six and Twentieth day of the
same October which accordingly then mett and sate at our sd
City of St Maries and there continued untill the Seaventeenth
day of the same October last past and was from thence further
prorogued untill the first Tuesday in March next ensueing,
which first Tuesday in March on which the sd Assembly should
again sitt being now neere at hand, and noe urgent occasions
or affaires relateing to the State or wellfare of this our Pro-
vince appearing for the conveening or sitting of our said
Assembly on the said first Tuesday in March, We have by and
with the advice and consent of our Councill determined and
ordeined, and wee doe hereby fully resolve determine and

ordeine that the said Assembly be prorogued untill the Eighth
day of May next ensueing. And wee doe hereby will and
require, as also strictly charge and command all and singular
the sheriffes of this our Province forthwith upon Receipt
hereof to make Proclamation hereof in the most convenient
places within their respective Counties, and to give notice to
all and singular the Delegates and Deputies by the ffreemen
of their Counties already elected or for that purpose to be
elected that (all excuses sett apart) they and every of the sd
Delegates and Deputies come and psonally appeare at our sd
City of St Maries on the said Eighth day of May last men-
tioned to doe and consent to those thinges which then and
there by the favour of God shall happen to be ordeined by us,
by and with the advice and consent of our greate Councill of
this our Province concerning the State and wellfare of this our
Province, and also to give notice to such of our Councill as
Inhabitt within their respective Counties that all excuses sett
apart they also be and appeare at the day and place aforesaid
to the end and purpose aforesaid.
Given at our sd City of St Maries under the greate Seale of
our sd Province of Maryland the 23th Day of January in the
Eighth yeare of our Dominion &c. Annoq Dmi One Thou-
sand Six hundred Eighty and Two.
