bond with an ordr to Majr Taylor to see William Smithson,

the sd Pindar & Brooke, signe it leaveing it to you to insert
the summe in the sd blank bond with direction to the sd Taylor
to cause the sd bond when signed to be carefully brought by
him some tyme when he shall next come to St Maries; please
also to ordr a Commission to be drawne & sent to me, which
with the blank bond and ordr abovesaid shall be sent Sealed
up to Taylor by Sr

Commission for Sheriff of Dorchester County together with
a writt of Assistance and writt of discharge to the former
Sheriff accordingly issued this 30th May 1682: and Bond
drawne according to the above ordr all wch were by the honble
the Chancelor sent the same day to his Ldspp by Mr Smithson
with the following ordr to Majr Taylor.

May 30th 1682:
You have hereinclosed sent you Commission for Mr William
Smithson to be high sheriffe of your County with his writt of
Assistance and writt of discharge to the former Sheriffe, and
also a bond for his performance which you are required to see
duely executed and then deliver the Commissions, and when
yu come next for these parts to deliver the bond with your
owne hands to his Ldspp or whom he shall appoint to take the
same, His by his Ldspps ordr is signified to you by

By the Lord Propry a Proclamation ffor dissolveing this
present Assembly and Declareing the Speedy Calling of a
New One.
Whereas this present Generall Assembly begun at the City
of St Maries the ffifteenth day of May in the yeare of our
Lord God One thousand Six hundred Seaventy and Six, and
by severall prorogations and Adjournmts continued to the
thirteenth Day of May last, was then prorogued untill the

Liber R.

Tenth day of October next. And whereas the Charge of
maintaineing four delegates for every County with their
Attendants is by experience found to be a burden too greate
to be borne soe often as the affaires of this Province doe
obleige his Ldsp the Rt honble the Lord Propry to meete the
good people of this Province in a generall Assembly, and to
have their advice concerning the urgent affaires of this Pro-
