well of you the sd John Darnall, Clement Hill, Alexander
Dennett and Robert Jones, as also of the sd Governor of Pen-
sylvania or other person or persons thereunto Authorised and
empowered as aforesaid mutually to be passed and executed
with all convenient speed, to be entred upon Record wthin this
Province to remaine to posterity thereby to prevent all future
disputes concerning the same.
7thly You are to make your first Observation upon the
Eastermost side of Susquehannoh River at the Northermost
part of Palmers Island.
8thly Whereas it is doubtfull whither or noe the Governor
of Pensylvania or other person or persons appointed and
empowered as aforesaid have with them Duplicates of their
credentials or cann in any reasonable & convenient tyme pro-
cure any to deliver you in exchange for yours, you are then in
such case to take true Coppy of them to be attested undr the
hands & Seales as well of you the sd John Darnall, Clement Hill,
Alexander Dennett, & Robert Jones as of the sd Governor or
other person or persons authorised & appointed as aforesaid
to Remaine also upon Record within this Province.
Given at the City of St Maries under the lesser Seale of this
Province the three and Twentieth Day of May in the Seventh
yeare of the Dominion of the Rt honble Charles &c Annoq Dmi
One Thousand Six hundred Eighty and two.

Whereas we have by Commission under the greate Seale
of this our Province beareing Date the 23th Day of May last
past Authorised and Empowered John Darnall, Clement Hill,
Alexander Dennett, and Robert Jones gentl or any Two or
more of them to lay out the line betweene this Province and
Pensylvania a tract of land adjoineing under the Governmt of
William Penn Esqr in the execution whereof there may be fre-
quent occasions for men & horses boate & hands, provisions,
and other necessaries to be had in your parts. Wee doe
therefore hereby strictly charge and Command you that when
and as often as you shall be thereunto Required by the sd
John Darnall Clement Hill, Alexandr Dennett, and Robert
Jones or any two or more of them as aforesaid, you immedi-
ately press mann and horse, boate and hands provisions or
other necessaries (at Our owne proper charge) as they shall
think fitt to ordr for their more speedy dispatch in this affaire.
