The foregoeing Commission and Instructions Letter of
Creditt and Letter to the Governor of New Yorke together
with the Originalls of the last peace made at Albany by Coll
Coursey with the Northern Indians were all delivered into the
hands of Coll Lloyd at Mattapony Sewall the 15th Day of May

To all persons to whom these presents shall come greeteing
in our Lord God Everlasting. Whereas his Sacred Majtie our
dread Sovraigne the King of England &ca hath by his Letters
Pattents lately granted unto William Penn Esqr a certain tract
of Land in these parts of America by the name of Pensilvania
to beginn and take its Originall or first Departure from the
ffourtieth Degree of Northern Latitude the bounds and con-
fines of this our Province of Maryland, And whereas his said
Majtie at the humble suite & request of the said William Penn
hath vouchsafed to write unto us. Requiring us by our Self
or our Sufficient constitutes to joine with some others Autho-
rised by the said William Penn in the due observing and
ascertaineing the said ffourtieth Degree of Northern Latitude
